Cocoa & Salt’s Zesty Garden Herb Marinated Chicken Drumsticks

These Zesty Garden Herb marinated chicken drumsticks are made with pasture-raised chicken that spend time outside everyday and graze naturally which keeps the birds healthy. They aren’t treated with hormones or antibiotics. Their diet is supplemented with a GMO-free, custom-mixed grain full of nutrients.

"I’ve been making these chicken drumsticks for quick and healthy meal prep during the week. I just thaw the drumsticks and throw them on my grill pan then pair with a salad or grilled veggies."

Marinade Ingredients

The marinade ingredients are simple: water, apple cider vinegar, sugar, canola oil, salt, distilled vinegar, basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, xanthan gum, black pepper.

Let the thawed chicken drumsticks marinate for around two hours in the refrigerator prior to setting them out on the counter covered for 30 minutes to reach room temperature.

Grilled

Preheat your grill for two-zone grilling, at 375-400 degrees F, grilling on direct heat for 30-35 minutes. For even cooking and minimal charring, flip often (every 5 minutes or so). Grill until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F. 

Baked

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Bake chicken drumsticks on a covered baking sheet for 40-45 minutes. For even cooking, turn the drumsticks over at the 30 minute mark. Bake until chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
